Pattern Roundup: Designer

 JW ANDERSON

JW ANDERSON

I love this unconventional floral from JW Anderson, it's so blobby and strange! While my partner loves all things floral, I have never been a big fan of traditional florals, but this wonky almost alien flower is something I can get behind. Adding "wonky florals" so my list of pattern development themes.

 MARNI

MARNI

I need to do an entire post (or maybe many posts) dedicated to Marni. Their patterns are consistently fresh and gorgeous. This one reminds me of the Art Class pattern development theme with its scribbly crayon and sketchy lines.

 GUCCI

GUCCI

Another unconventional floral, this time from Gucci! There is so much going on here, little bugs and what is either a tiger or a dragon in the background? I love the idea of having a creature as the main component with flowers interlaced.

 MARY KATRANTZOU

MARY KATRANTZOU

This pattern has so much great faux shine going on, and I love the placement of it on the bathing suit. I often work in the land of watercolour abstract patterns, or painterly scribbly patterns, but I would like to challenge myself to do more geometric work (and when they are sparkly like this it doesn't feel like I am straying too far from my own style).

 GUCCI

GUCCI

Another floral from Gucci. For someone who doesn't like florals I have sure included a lot of them. These bright colours were too good to ignore!
