Pattern Development: Cute Commercial Patterns

Since the day I started learning about pattern design there was one big goal that I've had in mind: working with a licensing agent who can hustle my patterns out into the world on a number of products. Wallpaper, gift wrap, stationery, pillows, tea towels, plates, dog beds, area rugs, fabric, I want it all. I want to live in a world where cute patterns are on EVERYTHING, and I want to help.

I've been meaning to get together a very sellable, very commercial portfolio for some time, and with my experience creating art for children's toys with Spin Master for almost 2 years now, I feel like I finally have a solid understanding of what that means. In a two day whirlwind of inspiration and motivation I put together the following 6 patterns to start out my licensing portfolio.

In the next few months I am hoping to get together 30-50 patterns that are super cute and colourful in the hopes of attracting some of the licensing agencies I've had my eye on... wish me luck!
